Cleaning Up is Hard to Do
I’ve decided to spend the day tidying up and sorting through my things. It seems an appropiate activity for New Years Eve.
It’s amazing what accumulates in the dark recesses of drawers. I’ve found clothing that I haven’t worn in 3 years but still can’t bring myself to throw out as it will be useful “in the future”. The worst find so far is 10 pairs of unworn white underwear, being numerous Christmas presents from my dear mother. After folding things neatly and getting rid of a few items, I have space once again on my clothing rack and in my dresser.
Although I’m pretty sure they won’t take the underwear, many unwanted yet still useful goods can be given away via the Freecycle Network. The aim is to re-use goods which would otherwise be thrown away and goods must be given away for free. Also useful if you’re in need of things yourself, but check the rules for the individual group before posting want ads.
Why not join me and celebrate the New Year by sorting through and discarding the old.
